The Founding Vision
Elias Vorn and co-founder Maren Lindqvist sketch the Privolux model in a shared office in Toronto's Financial District. The concept: private banking access for the globally mobile individual — without the six-figure minimums.

Regulatory Approval & Seed Round
Privolux receives its Canadian banking licence from OSFI and closes a CAD $48M seed round led by institutional investors. The first 14 employees join. A pandemic-era launch that proved remote-first banking is the future.

Amsterdam Headquarters Open
Privolux opens its European headquarters in Amsterdam's Zuidas district, secured under DNB licence. The Netherlands office becomes the hub for EU operations and cross-border private banking services.

Copenhagen & Nordic Expansion
Attracted by Denmark's world-leading fintech regulation and trust culture, Privolux opens its Nordic office in Copenhagen. The office specialises in sustainable finance, pension management, and Scandinavian private wealth.

$1 Billion in Assets
Privolux crosses $1 billion in assets under management — three years ahead of forecast. Client count surpasses 180,000 across 90 countries. Privolux wins "Best Digital Private Bank" at the Global Finance Awards.

Series C & Product Expansion
A $220M Series C round enables the launch of the Infinite Card, investment products, and the mortgage division. Privolux now employs 620 people across three countries.
